Ministry of tourism,
Government of India is pleased to announce skilled certificated scheme for cook
and waiter from the hospitality industry who have been practicing their art for
year without formal education and certification
of their expertise.
SCHEME
Title:
Ministry of tourism – national hospitality skill certificate

Practicing service providers both in formal and informal
sectors in two categories of waiter and cook
Eligibility: Those
working in an eating establishment including hotels, Restaurants , Dhabas,
Canteens, Guest houses, Clubs.
Age: No
upper age limit but must be working.
Method of
certification: Participants will attend five day orientation at the
institute followed by skill and oral test on the sixth day.
Fee and
stipend: There is no course
fee. The institute would pay participant stipend of Rs. 200 per day during the orientation program of 5
day duration followed by test.(total six days and 1200 stipend)
The objective of skill certification scheme is to recognize
contribution of service providers who have devoted their working life to
providing service to gusts through their skills. This recognition would help
such experienced service providers in finding mobility with their trade.
This program for cooks and waiters will commence from june 2013.
Interested persons may visit the institute of hotel management , tilyar lake,
rohtak (Haryana) and register by filling up form available along with
photograph and ID proof.
